In the ocean kingdom of Submeria, peace is held together by blood — specifically, royal blood offered to the gods. Zarya has spent her entire life preparing for this fate. But as her ritual begins, she chooses defiance. Instead of dying, she turns on the gods and slays Oya, the goddess of storms.

This act shatters divine law. Shango, god of war and Oya's husband, erupts into vengeance. His mission: revive the slumbering Orisha gods buried in Mount Aiye, annihilate humanity, and rule a new age of divine conquest.

Zarya's rebellion makes her both savior and target. To survive Shango's wrath, she must rally fractured kingdoms alongside a desperate band of allies — a prince bound by duty, a haunted warrior drowning in trauma, and a young man shaped by violence.

Learning of her true lineage as the daughter of the god of the deep, Zarya must claim a legendary, god-killing weapon and face deadly forces — including her own mother, twisted by divine manipulation. All paths lead to Mount Aiye, where Shango's army gathers, and Zarya must decide whether peace is worth blood or vengeance.
